Hamish’s engineering career began in Edinburgh with Blyth+Blyth, where he first met Grant Simpson.

Quickly gaining experience of a wide breadth of structural engineering projects, Hamish swiftly became Chartered. During those early years, Hamish spent time working in Java and oversaw the reinforcement detailing of the Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood, designed by Enrique Mirales. That passion for reinforced concrete structures continues with Hamish having designed a growing number of multi-storey residential and student accommodation buildings across the United Kingdom.

Nothing fazes Hamish and this, together with his thorough and measured approach to project delivery, makes him extremely popular with clients, contractors and fellow professionals across the industry.
